Rough grained strained timber sitting above, Churned water, browner than the wood above, Water rushing, crashing on rocks and bottoms towards an uncertain horizon.
Storm clouds swirl towards rocking solitude Grays tumbling blacks
Playful puppies set free after long days Sitting at a master’s feet.
Chasing playing over rough wood bridge, Water churning harder, faster I stand to greet the storm.

The grey concrete highway stretched like the river behind the old school house only two blocks away from
a house filled with broken bottles and dreams, little girl throwing down school bag on the table red faced and hair knotted with her sister
only 5 seconds behind. Like the river where father and the men long legged deep chested bears, waited silently in rusted chairs for blue gill and bass to nibble tentatively at worm baited lines.
